Specialities
-
Anxiety shows up as persistent worry, fear, and physical symptoms that leave you feeling exhausted and unable to fully enjoy your life. In therapy, we’ll uncover the underlying factors driving your anxiety and develop practical tools to help you approach life with greater ease and confidence.
-
When you’re experiencing depression, you find it difficult to get out of bed or complete even the simplest tasks. You find yourself unable to enjoy things and disconnected from the people you care about. Together, we’ll explore the internal and external factors contributing to your depression and practice strategies to help you feel more hopeful and reconnected to what matters most.
-
Traumatic experiences—including physical, sexual, or emotional abuse or neglect—can leave us feeling unsafe, unworthy, or unloved. These experiences often lead to emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, shame, and PTSD, as well as relational difficulties. Together, we will focus on tools to manage triggers, shift unhelpful thought and behavioral patterns, and foster a sense of safety and empowerment.
-
A harsh inner critic magnifies our every mistake and judges us as being inadequate and unworthy. This self-criticism and the associated feelings of shame create emotional pain, often holding us back from pursuing meaningful goals and relationships. Through self-compassion interventions, we’ll work together to quiet that inner critic, alleviate shame, and help you live a freer, more meaningful life.
-
Marginalized communities often face additional stress due to systemic oppression, which can profoundly impact identity and well-being. Cultural and identity challenges may also involve navigating differences in values or practices within families or communities. Our work together provides a safe space to explore your identity, manage stress, navigate relationships, and where possible, take actions to advocate for yourself.
